The Teatro Bellini stands out with its circular, wedding-cake facade, featuring rows of arches that curve gently around the street corner. Built in the eighteen seventies to replace a smaller venue, it was designed by Carlo Ceppi to hold nearly three thousand people. The architect centered the building on an iron structure, an advanced engineering choice at the time. When the theater opened, local performers staged elaborate operas here, but the space soon shifted toward hosting experimental plays and modern musical productions.
