The Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade occupies a building defined by its corner tower, topped with a distinct, weathered green dome that punctuates the skyline of the historic Stari Grad district. Originally commissioned by the Belgrade Cooperative, this space served as the headquarters for one of the city's wealthiest financial institutions in the early twentieth century. Its walls carry the heavy, decorative stone carvings of traditional Serbian craft, a style meant to project the power and stability of the emerging modern state.
