Tegnérlunden

Tegnérlunden is a park shaped like a natural amphitheater, defined by a steep, grassy slope that rises toward a central terrace. In the nineteen thirties, the city transformed this uneven, rocky terrain into a public garden. It houses a large statue of the writer August Strindberg, who lived in a nearby building and often walked these grounds. When the city placed the bronze figure here, they positioned him facing away from the center of the park, toward his old home.
