The Rasika Ranjani Sabha occupies a low, unassuming structure tucked within the greenery of Girija Garden. Since nineteen twenty-nine, this hall has served as the neighborhood hearth for Carnatic music and classical dance. During the peak of the December music season, the building fills with listeners who crowd the rows to hear vocalists perform traditional kritis. P. S. Ramaswamy Aiyar founded the institution, transforming a quiet garden plot into a central venue for artists who lacked performance space in the city.
