The walls of Geetha Cafe wear a faded, pale green paint, and the scent of freshly ground filter coffee carries well past the simple wooden entrance. Established in the nineteen fifties, this spot became the unofficial meeting place for local journalists and politicians who argued over current events while sharing plates of hot idli and vada. While many similar eateries around Parthasarathy Puram transitioned into modern, air-conditioned outlets, Geetha Cafe maintained its original layout and traditional service style.
