The Sang Tarashha, or Stone Carvers' Cave, sits carved directly into the heart of a mountain in the Jolfa region. It is a cavernous man-made hall created by local stone workers over several decades. Rather than building a temple or a house, these carvers excavated deep into the rock, leaving behind massive, ornate pillars to support the ceiling. The space serves as a testament to the endurance of traditional craftsmanship, as the entire structure was shaped by hand using simple metal tools.
