Tal Barahi Sandhya Aarati , ताल बाराही सन्ध्या आरती

The white pagoda temple sits on an island in the middle of Phewa Lake, recognizable by its two tiered golden roof reflected in the dark water. Devotees row boats to the island daily, but the evening ritual draws a different crowd. As the sun drops behind the Annapurna range, priests stand on the stone platform ringing bells and waving brass oil lamps. They chant in rhythm with the lapping waves, offering light to the goddess Barahi, who guards these deep mountain waters.
