Komagane Miteri Park

Komagane Miteri Park features a distinct stone monument carved with both Japanese and Nepali characters. This site exists to mark the sister-city relationship established between Pokhara and the Japanese city of Komagane in two thousand one. Local residents visit the park to acknowledge the connection between their community and Japan, often gathering around the central pillar. The stones were transported from the mountains of Komagane to represent the shared geography of the two regions, linking these distant towns through their rugged landscapes.
