The five plus two Garden Cafe is recognizable by the lush, overgrown greenery that spills over its low walls and wooden fences, creating a dense thicket in the middle of the urban Wuhou District. It exists as a private oasis where the owner spent years curating specific plant species to muffle the roar of Chengdu traffic. A regular visitor once left a vintage piano in the courtyard, which now sits exposed to the elements, covered in moss and overgrown vines.
