Taipei Cinema Park

The red brick walls of the Taipei Cinema Park reach toward the sky with jagged, spray-painted graffiti murals covering almost every surface. This space was once the Taiwan Gas Company plant, built in nineteen thirty-four to provide fuel for local homes. Decades after the plant closed, the city converted the industrial wreckage into a public park for street culture. In two thousand nine, the walls became an official canvas for legal graffiti, transforming the relic of heavy industry into a hub for urban artists.
