Stick Out is a vintage clothing store in Setagaya housed in a plain, rectangular structure that feels more like a repurposed warehouse than a boutique. The shop is famous for selling items by the kilogram rather than by the individual price tag. Founder Kenji Ishii started this model to clear massive amounts of imported American used clothing quickly. Customers dig through giant plastic bins to fill their bags, often pulling out denim jackets or flannel shirts for a fraction of standard retail prices.
