Kissa Ray

Kissa Ray sits behind a heavy wooden door in a quiet corner of Setagaya. The interior feels like a suspended moment in time, defined by warm, amber lighting and shelves packed with vintage jazz records. In the nineteen eighties, the shop owner decided to commit his collection entirely to hard bop and cool jazz, curating a space where conversation remains secondary to the music. Every cup of hand-drip coffee is served with the same deliberate care he gives to tracking down rare vinyl pressings.
