Jiangshu Railway Relics Park （West Gate）

The Jiangshu Railway Relics Park is anchored by a rusted, decommissioned steam locomotive resting on a preserved stretch of tracks. This site traces the path of the former Jiangshu Railway, which first connected Hangzhou to the coal mines in the north during the early twentieth century. Merchants pushed for the line to modernize trade, but the tracks struggled against frequent flooding and political instability. The train here remains a heavy, silent artifact from a time when steam power dictated the pace of local industry.
