The SAMoCA at Jax is a cluster of converted industrial warehouses defined by their raw, corrugated metal facades and deep shadows. This site emerged from the transformation of the Jax district, a former heavy logistics hub, into a contemporary art space in Riyadh. It serves as a permanent home for the Saudi Arabian Museum of Contemporary Art. Inside these high-ceilinged bays, the concrete floors bear the faint, permanent stains of the heavy machinery and engine oil that occupied them decades ago.
