Taller Experimental de Papel Artesanal

The Taller Experimental de Papel Artesanal hides behind a modest door on a narrow Havana street, marked by sheets of handmade paper drying on wooden racks. This workshop occupies a former colonial warehouse, repurposed to produce paper from discarded plant fibers like banana leaves, sugarcane, and pineapple husks. Artists here spend their days boiling, pulping, and pressing these fibers into textured, organic sheets. The workshop provides a working space where the cycle of waste meets the craft of traditional papermaking.
