Centro Cultural Benjamín Carrión

The Centro Cultural Benjamín Carrión occupies a white, two-story house with a prominent, dark-tiled roof and large, rectangular windows that distinguish it from the neighboring streetscape. It was once the home of the Ecuadorian writer and cultural critic Benjamín Carrión. He lived here while helping to found the House of Ecuadorian Culture in nineteen forty-four, aiming to foster a national identity through literature and the arts. Today, the space preserves his personal library and hosts quiet rooms for research and exhibitions.
