N24 Galería de Arte occupies a house built in the nineteen fifties with distinct modernist lines and large glass panels that expose its interior to the street. It functions as a platform for contemporary artists in Quito to experiment with installations and conceptual work that rarely fit into traditional gallery spaces. In two thousand twelve, the artist Manuela Ribadeneira used the entire structure for an intervention, covering the windows with vinyl to turn the building into a massive, glowing, light-filled object during the night.
