Hôtel de Montmorin

The Hotel de Montmorin stands at the corner of rue Oudinot and the boulevard des Invalides, behind an austere stone facade that masks a complex history of aristocratic living and state administration. In the eighteenth century, the property was acquired and extensively renovated by Armand Marc de Montmorin Saint-Herem, who served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs under King Louis XVI. Montmorin was a key political figure during a volatile era, and his residence saw the transition of France from absolute monarchy to revolution.
