You are standing in front of the Gillian Lynne Theatre, a venue that broke a centuries-old tradition in the London West End. In May two thousand eighteen, it became the first theatre in this historic district to be named after a non-royal woman. It honors the legendary choreographer Dame Gillian Lynne, whose innovative movement style became synonymous with the massive success of the musical Cats, which called this stage home for over two decades.
