The Rifle Brigade War Memorial stands at the junction of Grosvenor Gardens and Hobart Place as a tribute to over eleven thousand men who died during the First World War. Scottish sculptor John Tweed crafted the bronze figures that define the monument. At the center of the pylon stands a life-sized, helmeted rifleman in First World War attire, modeled after a real soldier named Ephraim Alfred Dudley.
