Diego Rivera Gallery

The Diego Rivera Gallery occupies a space within the historic San Francisco Art Institute campus on Russian Hill. It is named for the renowned Mexican muralist who arrived in the city in nineteen thirty to execute his first public works in the United States. While the gallery has long served as a venue for student exhibitions and large-scale installations, its primary significance lies in the permanent, floor-to-ceiling fresco permanently housed on one of its walls.
