This center emerged in twenty eleven through the merger of two distinct entities, the Dance Theater Workshop and the Bill T. Jones Arnie Zane Company. While the facility itself was originally constructed to house the workshop, the marriage of these two organizations was a strategic move born from a need for long-term financial stability and a permanent home for the visionary dance company led by Bill T. Jones.
