You are approaching the only museum in the United States dedicated entirely to the art and history of the poster. Poster House occupies a unique through-block space that extends from twenty-third street all the way to twenty-fourth street in Chelsea. The building once housed Tekserve, a legendary local shop that served as a primary hub for Apple product repairs and sales before the company opened its own official retail stores. When the museum moved into this long, narrow footprint, architects chose to preserve the industrial character of the site, leaving exposed brick walls, original barrel vaults, and cast-iron columns visible throughout the interior.
