Father Studzinski Square

Father Studzinski Square is a small triangular plaza that sits at the intersection of McGuinness Boulevard, Graham Avenue, and Driggs Avenue. It serves as a local memorial to Father Joseph Studzinski, who immigrated to the United States from Silesia in 1912. For nearly twenty years, he served as the pastor of the nearby Saint Stanislaus Kostka Church, a cornerstone institution for the neighborhood’s large Polish-American community. The square was formally dedicated to his memory in 1963, though it was officially developed as a public plaza later in 1989. Over the years, the site faced various challenges, including the disappearance of its original bronze commemorative plaque. In 2017, the community successfully replaced it with a new, historically accurate replica crafted in Poland. Today, the square is maintained with the help of the local Saint Stanislaus American Legion Post, ensuring the space remains a dedicated landmark for the parish and the surrounding streets.
