Metrograph

cultural

Metrograph sits in a building that was once a plain industrial warehouse used for food storage. Founder Alexander Olch transformed this stark space into a cinema by embracing the raw history of the site, leaving the brick walls exposed. The theater seats inside are a unique local artifact, built from reclaimed wood salvaged from the historic Domino Sugar Refinery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. These seats serve as a physical connection between two of the city's most storied industrial landmarks.
