Abbey's Park Theatre

Abbey's Park Theatre stood at the corner of Broadway and 22nd Street. Opened in 1874 as the New Park Theatre, the venue occupied a plot measuring sixty by one hundred feet. Its exterior was constructed from plain Philadelphia brick trimmed with Nova Scotia stone. While the architect, Frederic Draper, aimed for a functional design, the interior featured twelve proscenium boxes accented with French gray, gold, and red.
