The Chancellor Robert R. Livingston Masonic Library sits on the fourteenth floor of the Masonic Hall at 71 West 23rd Street. It functions as one of the world's most significant repositories of Masonic history, philosophy, and esoterica. The library takes its name from Robert R. Livingston, who served as the Grand Master of Masons in New York and famously administered the oath of office to George Washington during his first presidential inauguration.
