Passage Brady

Passage Brady features a glass roof that runs for over two hundred meters, connecting the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis to the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Martin. Built in eighteen twenty-eight, it served as a private commercial gallery for wealthy Parisians to shop away from the muddy streets. Monsieur Brady, a tailor who owned the land, developed it during a frantic era of arcade construction. He split the passage into two sections to bypass a pre-existing building, creating a slight jog that persists today.
