Passage des Princes

historic

The Passage des Princes is marked by a high glass roof and a curved staircase that rises toward a landing in the center of the arcade. Completed in eighteen sixty, it was the final covered passage built during the Haussmann renovations in Paris. Developers demolished the original structure in the mid nineteen eighties, but a decade later, the arcade reopened as a replica of the nineteenth century original. It serves as a dedicated space for toy stores, housing a labyrinth of specialized shops behind its glass.
