Theatre De La Michodière

cultural

The Theatre de la Michodière features a facade of clean, limestone curves and arched windows that sit tucked into the narrow Rue de la Michodière. Built in nineteen twenty-five, the venue opened with a play by Sacha Guitry, who insisted on writing, directing, and starring in the premiere. Guitry kept a private apartment inside the building, living just steps away from the stage. His heavy velvet curtains and mahogany wood interiors defined the Parisian theater scene throughout the middle of the twentieth century.
