The Théâtre Le Temple stands out with its distinctively stark, multi-leveled concrete facade, a sharp contrast to the surrounding nineteenth-century residential blocks. Built in the late twentieth century, this venue emerged from a series of local efforts to establish a permanent cultural anchor in the neighborhood. Before the stage lights went up, the site held a small garage. A local theater company secured the permit, converted the industrial space, and hosted their inaugural play in nineteen eighty-four.
