Square Albin Cachot

park garden

Square Albin Cachot is a narrow, quiet private road in the thirteenth arrondissement that feels worlds away from the busy streets of Paris. It was established in nineteen thirty-two by La France Mutualiste, a mutual insurance organization, to provide much-needed housing for veterans returning from the First World War. The space is named after Albin Cachot, who founded the organization and dedicated his work to supporting those who had served. While it remains a residential area today, the architecture reflects the specific social mission of its creators, designed to offer a peaceful, dignified environment for its former soldier inhabitants.
