Tour Onyx

Onyx is a contemporary culinary destination located on Rue de Provence in the ninth arrondissement. It occupies a two-level space designed by the architectural firm Anegil, which deliberately blends industrial history with refined modern aesthetics. The ground floor features an Eiffelian metal structure that pays homage to the city’s nineteenth-century engineering heritage. This iron frame is paired with a glass roof and skylight that channel natural light into the main dining area. An imposing walnut bar serves as the room’s focal point, connecting the lower dining space to the upper floor via a prominent staircase. The upper level transitions into a style reminiscent of a classic Parisian apartment. A four-meter-tall wall made of backlit onyx marble defines the entrance to this section, which incorporates traditional Haussmannian elements like herringbone parquet flooring, moldings, and bronze mirrors. This juxtaposition of raw industrial metal below and polished stone and wood above creates the restaurant’s signature atmosphere.
