Studios JENNER - studio du cinéast Jean-Pierre MELVILLE

historic

You are approaching the site of Studios Jenner, a former warehouse transformed into the private filmmaking sanctuary of director Jean-Pierre Melville. Melville founded this studio in 1947 to maintain absolute creative independence, allowing him to work outside the rigid structures of the French film industry. He famously lived in an apartment above the production floor, where he could remain immersed in the atmosphere of his work, often comparing his existence to living inside a darkened movie theater.
