The Dare House stands at the corner of First Line Beach and North Beach Road, recognizable by its distinct Art Deco curves and the cool, off-white stone finish that separates it from the brick-heavy architecture nearby. Built in nineteen forty for the Parry and Company trading firm, it replaced earlier structures that dated back to the seventeen hundreds. E. C. Dare, the firm’s long-time head, oversaw the growth of the business from a small shop into a major commercial powerhouse in the city.
