Tsutenkaku

The Tsutenkaku tower rises as a steel lattice structure topped by a glowing, circular clock face that changes color to forecast the next day's weather. Originally built in nineteen twelve, the tower was designed to resemble the Eiffel Tower sitting atop a base modeled after the Arc de Triomphe. Fire destroyed the original structure during the Second World War, but locals pushed for its reconstruction, leading to the current tower, completed in nineteen fifty-six, which remains a landmark of Osaka's resilience.
