丽江黑龙潭

park garden

The Black Dragon Pool holds a five-arch marble bridge and the Suocui Bridge, which slice across the clear, jade-colored water. During the Qing dynasty, the Naxi people built this park around a spring that never runs dry. The most striking sight is the Wufeng Tower, moved here stone by stone in the nineteen sixties to escape decay. It features complex, interlocking wooden eaves that mimic the wings of a bird. Local legends claim the pool hides a dragon that protects the valley from drought.
