万古楼

The Wangu Lou sits atop Lion Hill, its five stories of timber framing reaching thirty-three meters into the sky. It features thirteen roofs and massive pillars crafted from local spruce, built without a single iron nail to hold the structure together. When local leader Mu Zeng ordered its construction in the seventeenth century, he sought a vantage point to oversee his realm. He eventually invited scholars to the tower to compose poetry, turning this wooden spire into a quiet sanctuary for literary contemplation.
