The Baisui Bridge features a distinctive single stone arch that stretches over the narrow, rushing waters of the canal in the heart of the old town. Built during the Qing dynasty, the bridge served as a critical connection for merchants moving goods between the northern residential districts and the central markets. Local legend claims the stone mason carved a hidden dragon into the underside of the arch to protect travelers from the strong currents that once swept away the wooden structures that stood there before.
