Lijiang Ancient City Museum

The Lijiang Ancient City Museum occupies the former residence of the Mu family, the hereditary rulers of the Naxi people for over four hundred years. Its entrance is defined by a heavy, traditional wooden gate that opens into a series of interconnected courtyards aligned with the local water canals. During the Qing Dynasty, the Mu Tusi clan used this site to manage their administration and cultural influence. Today, the museum displays Naxi artifacts, including original ancient manuscripts and traditional tools used for daily life.
