The red iron gates of Anfield are topped by the words You Will Never Walk Alone. This stadium serves as the home ground for Liverpool Football Club, but it began as the home of their rivals, Everton. In eighteen ninety-two, a rent dispute forced Everton to move to Goodison Park. John Houlding, the owner of the Anfield land, found himself with an empty stadium and no team. He founded Liverpool Football Club the very same year to fill the void left behind.
