Museum of Freemasonry

The grand building housing the Museum of Freemasonry serves as the United Grand Lodge of England, the headquarters for freemasonry in this country. It stands on a site that has been dedicated to masonic activities since seventeen seventy five. The current structure is an art deco masterpiece completed in nineteen thirty three as a memorial to the thousands of freemasons who died during the first world war. Every element of the architecture reflects this somber purpose, including the vast tower that dominates the skyline of this part of London.
