The Diana Fountain you see here in Green Park is often confused with the large memorial in Hyde Park, but this is an entirely different landmark. This bronze sculpture, known as Diana of the Treetops, depicts the Roman goddess of the hunt accompanied by her hound. It was crafted by the sculptor Estcourt J Clack and first unveiled in nineteen fifty-four to replace a Victorian-era fountain that had fallen into disrepair.
