The Wiltern features a turquoise terra cotta facade that rises twelve stories above the intersection of Western and Wilshire. This building serves as a theater and office tower, originally opened as the Warner Brothers Western Theater in nineteen thirty-one. While the Depression forced Warner Brothers to scale back their grand plans for the site, the theater remains a masterpiece of Art Deco design. Starburst patterns and stylized sunrays adorn the ceiling, designed by G. Albert Lansburgh to capture the fading glamour of early Hollywood.
