Pier 35 (1914)

Pier 35 began its life as a critical node in the expansion of the San Francisco waterfront. While construction on the pier substructure started in 1914, the site quickly evolved into a bustling transit hub for the city. By the time the transit shed was completed in 1916, it was already integral to the maritime commerce that powered early twentieth-century San Francisco.
