Wax Museum at Fishermans Wharf

The Wax Museum at Fisherman's Wharf began in 1963 inside a repurposed grain warehouse on Jefferson Street. Thomas Fong, a local businessman, decided to build the attraction after he was captivated by the wax figures he encountered at the Seattle World's Fair. What started with seventy-five hand-sculpted figures eventually grew into a sprawling, four-story destination that helped define the tourist character of this waterfront area for five decades.
