Sun Swarm

Sun Swarm is a kinetic art installation located on the deck of Pier fifteen along the Embarcadero. It consists of a series of mounted mirrors that are designed to sway with the movement of the tides below. As these mirrors shift in unpredictable patterns, they catch the light and disperse it across the wooden planks of the pier, creating an ever-changing display of reflected sun. The installation serves as a meditation on the rhythmic, hidden forces of the bay that dictate the pace of the waterfront.
