Salesforce Transit Center

landmark

You are approaching a structure that functions as the modern transportation anchor for the entire Bay Area. The Salesforce Transit Center occupies a four-block stretch of downtown and serves as a massive, multi-level hub designed to connect eleven different transit systems. It replaced the original Transbay Terminal, a regional transit facility that operated at First and Mission streets from nineteen thirty-nine until its demolition in two thousand ten. This new center represents a major shift in the city's infrastructure, turning a previously congested corridor into a central gathering point for commuters and residents alike.
