Willie McCovey Statue

This bronze statue honors Willie McCovey, the legendary first baseman who spent nineteen of his twenty-two major league seasons with the San Francisco Giants. Sculpted by William Behrends and unveiled in two thousand three, the monument depicts McCovey in the midst of his signature left-handed batting stance. The figure stands tall at the edge of the water, intentionally positioned to face the stadium across the inlet.
