The Children's Creativity Museum sits atop the Moscone Convention Center in the heart of Yerba Buena Gardens. It opened on Halloween in 1998 under the name Zeum, serving as a pillar of a massive urban redevelopment project intended to transform this corner of the South of Market neighborhood. The museum was designed to foster a culture of production rather than passive consumption, challenging visitors to become makers of their own films, music, and engineering prototypes.
